MEMORIAL SUNDAY PARADE 9th NOVEMBER 2025

  • Parade Marshall is Mike Sage (Veteran)
  • Lt Cdr Thomas Pinfold RN will be taking the salute.
  • The Parade starts to form on Lord Street at 1:15, outside The Old People’s Club.
  • The Parade sets off at 1:30.
  • Mayor of Burscough Town Council – Derick Moss will be leading the parade along with the Mayor of West Lancashire Borough Council.
  • Arrive 1:15 to start to form the parade dignitaries / flag bearers / Mayor of the Town Council / Mayor / Borough and County Councillors / Sea Cadets / Air Cadets / Scouts / Guides / RAF Cadets / Standard Bearers / British Legion Representatives / Parade Marshall / Navy representative / representatives from Primary Schools / representative from the Police / RAF Woodvale.
  • Service lead by Rev Elliot Ireton starts at 2pm and this includes a 45-minute service.
  • At 2:45 the parade moves back to The Old People’s Club Lord Street where refreshments will be served, a hot pot with a vegetarian option will be served at 2:45.
  • All the names of the fallen will be read out at the service by members of the British Legion and the Town Council.
  • Rev Ireton has provided service sheets which have been printed by Burscough Town Council and will be handed out at the service.
  • Ventbook have been organised to enforce the road closure.
  • Band organised are Skelmersdale prize band to march and play and provide a bugler for the last post.
  • First Aid Assistance will be available.

  • 10:30 Arrival of all groups / dignitaries / flag bearers / Mayor of the Town Council / Mayor / Borough and County Councillors / Sea Cadets / Air Cadets / Scouts / Guides / RAF Cadets / Standard Bearers / British Legion Representatives / Parade Marshall/ Navy representative / Children to represent each of the Primary Schools / Representative from the Police / RAF Woodvale.
  • The Service will start at 10:45 with the minutes silence at 11am.
  •  The service will finish at 11:15 when Tea / Coffee and biscuits will be served at Booths Café, provided by the Town Council.
