Christmas Shop Window Competition

Young Voices Of Burscough (YVOB), in partnership with Burscough Town Council, braved the torrential rain on Thursday evening and judged the annual Christmas Shop Window event. The YVOB Group took careful consideration and looked at every Christmas themed Shop Window in the village and over very large slices of Chocolate cake and hot Chocolate hosted at the Teddy Bear Café (many thanks to Marianne and Jo) considered who should win this year’s event. The WINNER announced was Jen’s Sandwich Bar who received the prize of £100 and allowed to keep prestigious shield for 1 year with the name of the shop engraved on it. This was presented by Ellie who attends Priory Academy locally. There was stiff competition again this year with the runner up announced went to The Bloom Room and third place went to Esquire Barbers, congratulations to all who took part and help to keep Burscough a lovely place to live. Here is the photograph of the winner.

YVOB have an exciting year planned for 2020 and if you would like to attend the meetings please join us; the group is open to any young person between the age of 12 and 19 years who has an opinion regarding the area of Burscough. This group has been set up by the Town Council to help provide a platform for young people’s voices to be heard. Contact the Town Clerk for further information
