(A5209 SQUARE LANE, BURSCOUGH, WEST LANCASHIRE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an
Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads
set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of
A5209 Square Lane, Burscough from a point 230m East of its junction
with U378 Richmond Road, Burscough for a distance of 60m in a North
Easterly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of
the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0930 hours until 1500 hours on
Monday 1st August 2022 or until completion of the works within this
period.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
A59 Liverpool Road South, Burscough – B5241 Junction Lane,
Burscough and vice versa
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow the replacement of a manhole
frame and cover to be carried out by Sapphire Utility Solutions on behalf of United
Utilities.
